Pharoah Wilderness Area
20-40 miles. 5 day trek. Various options available. 1
mountain ascent: Pharoah mountain: 2550 feet. Pharoah lake in center of
wilderness area.
Transportation fee: depends on start/end locations. Can start/end from
Summit Base.
Siamese Ponds Wilderness Area
One of the last remaining true wilderness backcountry experiences within 107,740
acres. Various scenery includes; Auger Falls, Bog Meadow, Siamese Ponds. This area can be
accessed from many different locations with a variety of hiking conditions. Several
possible mountain ascents exist. This trip can include hiking to Chimney Mountain
where time can be spent caving and/or rock climbing.
Transportation fee: $58
Additional $250 fee for caving/ climbing guide/instructor for Chimney Mountain
trip.
