Summit Base Kayak Trek travels along the Lake Champlain Paddlers' Trail External Linkopened in 1996 to provide a safe, recreational corridor on the lake for human powered craft. Today, the Trail includes 43 locations on New York and Vermont public and private lands, providing access to more than 600 lakeshore and island campsites.  Our itineraries travel to the most remote areas of the lake along the New York Wilderness Areas. Also voyaging into the Vermont Islands as far north as North Hero State Park and East to Burton Island.

The Lake is a beautiful as she is wild giving paddlers both peace and adventure. The Paddlers Trail offers opportunity for a wild adventure as well as to slow down and move gracefully and quietly in concert with the rhythms of the lake.
