Summer Camp at Read Scout Reservation

 

To reserve your Troop's site for 2019, please fill out and send in your Registration Form.

 

 


 

One of America's premier Scout Camps, Read Scout Reservation is located in Brant Lake, New York just 30 minutes north of the village of Lake George in the six-million-acre Adirondack State Park. Read is comprised of 1,000 picturesque acres boasting three camps that offer all styles of Scout camping: Dining Hall, Patrol Cooking, and High Adventure. Our flexibility and dedication are the key to providing the finest program available.

Read is also home to the largest climbing tower in the Northeast!



 

 

 

Camp Buckskin is our dining hall facility surrounded by 14 campsites.

 


Camp Waubeeka features a traditional patrol cooking experience with 7 campsites.



Summit BaseExternal Link offers week-long treks and in-camp high adventure experiences.

Facilities Available at Read Scout Reservation during the off-season

  • The Farmhouse - $275 weekend fee per unit. Refrigerator, propane cooking stove, electricity, microwave, year-round water, 2 full bathrooms, 4 bedrooms with 4-person occupancy, living room and dining room. Capacity 16 people
  • The Log Cabin - $235 weekend fee per unit. Refrigerator, propane cooking stove, electricity, year-round water, 2 separate rooms with 6-person occupancy and a main space with 15. Capacity 27 people
  • Pathfinder Campsite - $45.00 weekend fee per unit. Unit supplies tents & equipment; latrine and seasonal water nearby.
  • Ranger Campsite - $45.00 weekend fee per unit. Unit supplies tents & equipment; latrine and seasonal water nearby.

Looking for service projects?  Let us know what weekend you have reserved and what your groups' talents are, and the Ranger can see what's available for you!  Email us at least 2 weeks prior to your Reservation!.  You may even be able to earn a free future campsite weekend!
