Agatha A. Durland Scout Reservation

Located in Putnam County, the Agatha A. Durland Scout Reservation (previously Clear Lake Scout Reservation) boasts 1,400 acres of largely undeveloped land, pavilions, cabins, lean-to sites, wilderness campsites and miles of hiking trails are available. Two lakes offer boating, swimming and fishing opportunities. A BB gun range range, archery range and mobile climbing tower are also available for use. This property borders Fahnestock State Park which hosts a section of the Appalachian Trail.

The Durland Scout Reservation is open for units from September through June. During the fall, winter and spring this property is home to numerous District events such as the Camp-O-Ree and Klondike Derby. During the summer season the property hosts Cub Scout Day Camps.  

Looking for service projects?  Let us know what weekend you have reserved and what your groups' talents are, and the Ranger can see what's available for you!  Email us at least 2 weeks prior to your Reservation!.  You may even be able to earn a free future campsite weekend!

Reservations

Reservations can be made online online on a first-come, first-served basis starting August 1st for reservations September through June.  Use the link below to make your reservations online using a credit card or e-check.

Durland Weekend Camping Reservations

 

Program Area rentals may be made by emailing the below appropriate forms to wpc.camping@scouting.org, or faxing them to 914-449-9690. Once the forms and appropriate certification documents are received by the Camping Department, you may call in your payment to complete the reservation.  You may also mail these documents in with payment.

Short Term / Weekend Camping

Facilities Available at Durland Scout Reservation 

  • Large Cabins - $275 weekend fee per unit. Fee for out of council units is $325. Refrigerator, propane cooking stove, wood stove, electricity, microwave, year-round water, optional propane heat. Capacity 40 people
  • Smaller Cabins - $235 weekend fee per unit. Fee for out of council units is $285. Refrigerator, propane cooking stove, wood stove, electricity, year-round water, optional propane heat. Capacity 30 people
  • Ground Site - $45.00 weekend fee per unit. Unit supplies tents & equipment; water & latrine nearby.
  • Site 40 w/Pavilion & Lean-to: $85 weekend fee per unit. Unit supplies tents and equipment. Water and latrines nearby.
  • Lean-Tos - $55 for two lean-tos, $75 for three.
  • Sperling Program Shelter - $55.00 weekend fee per unit. Not to be used for camping.
