Happy 90th Birthday Dobbs Ferry Troop 24

On April 19, 1927, Dobbs Ferry Troop 24 is established.  Troop 24 is part of the Half-Moon District within the Hendrick Hudson Council, which is based in Ossining, NY.   In its 1927 edition, page 17 of the District's publication The Log of the Half Moon features a photograph of the newly established Dobbs Ferry Troop 24.

On page 20 of that same publication, the entry for April 19 notes District 4 Organization of Troop 24 Dobbs Ferry.

In 1927, William H Baader is the first Scoutmaster and Anton Molnar is the first Committee Chairman. The Scouts hold their first meetings in the old Laundry House on The Masters School property in Dobbs Ferry.
