Home to one of America's premier Scout Camps with an extensive summer
program, Curtis S. Read Scout Reservation also offers many opportunities for
Fall-Spring camping in the southern Adirondacks. The Reservation's 1,200 acres
bordering on the Pharoah Wilderness Area offer plenty of tent camping locations as well as
two fully-equipped indoor facilities: the Log Cabin and the New Farmhouse. Nearby
attractions include Lake George, Gore Mountain, Lake Placid and Whiteface Mountain as well
as day trip opportunities into the Adirondacks. Contact the Council
Camping Department for reservation information or view facility
reservation status.
