Reservation Procedures

Reservations for cabins and campsites are not taken over the phone, they can be made online only on a "first come - first serve" basis. The Council and the Districts may make reservations for the next program year, beginning April 15th. Westchester-Putnam Council Scout units and out-of-council units/groups may make reservations for the next program year starting August 1st. Units may make reservation multiple sites at a time. There are no waiting lists. The "program year" is defined as September 1st* (after labor day) through the end of June* (before summer camp setup starts).

The leader listed on the reservation form will receive a confirmation email when the reservation is entered and will also receive additional emails if any changes are made to the reservation.

For Program Area rentals - You can either email the reservation form with proper certifications to wpc.camping@scouting.org or fax the form to: 914-449-9690.  You may call in your payment after the form and documents have been received to: 914-449-2612.

Refund Policy

A refund or change of date may be made only if a unit notifies the Camping Dept. at least 30 days in advance of scheduled date. Units canceling less than thirty (30) days will not receive any refund.  For cabin rentals, if we are able to rent the cabin, a full refund will be granted.

Service Projects

If your unit plans to work on a Ranger approved eight-hour camp improvement or conservation Service Project, a free campsite can be earned. Or, if you are reserving another facility, you may earn a $25.00 credit on your next reservation.  Help us nibble away at the scores of projects needed to maintain and improve our camps. Projects to be mutually agreed upon by unit and Ranger.
