Mornings from 9 AM to 11 AM, and 11 AM to 1 PM

Afternoons from 1 PM to 3 PM, and 3 PM to 5 PM

Qualified Supervision

Council ranges will be under the supervision of a range safety officer approved by the shooting sports committee, 21 years of age or older, holding a current NRA range safety officer certification. There must also be one or more NRA instructor(s) certified for that firearm, 21 years of age or older, holding a current NRA instructor certification.

NRA certified RSOs and Instructors are also required to be approved on the Durland Range by participating in a 30 minute instructional orientation on the range to learn opening and closing procedures.

All range safety officers and NRA-certified firearm instructors must have a copy of their certification(s) on file with the NRA training team/shooting sports committee as well as on their person while operating the range.

For every session that qualified instructors open exclusively for their own unit, they must open one day (4 sessions) to the camp or one council/district event or equivalent.

Out of council units may bring their own NRA qualified RSO and Instructor, but must take the range orientation course previous to their session or request a qualified WPC officer to be present.

Scouts must have a Permission to Shoot form filled out by their parent/guardian in order to participate.

Fees

Fees for Durland Rifle Range are $50 per 2 hour session with 250 .22 caliber rounds. Additional bricks of 250 rounds are $20 and payable at the time of range use or before.

Fees are non-refundable for cancellation unless camp is closed.

For use of the Durland Rifle Range for a district or council event, please contact the Shooting Sports Director.

Reserving the Range
