Summit Base is located at the Curtis S. Read Scout Reservation and is operated by the High Adventure Committee of Westchester-Putnam Council, Boy Scouts of America.  Contact us to plan a program opportunity for your group.

High Adventure Staff

Employment Opportunities

We are looking for people, 18 years of age and older, interested and experienced in facilitating outdoor adventure recreation and education to work full-time during our Summer Program.  Competitive salary plus room and board provided. Email for more information.

Our programs provide excellent leadership. We staff only BSA National Camp School (NCS) certified guides. Our COPE (Challenging Outdoor Personal Experience) and climbing programs are overseen by a NCS certified director. We take great pride in our younger staff who have participated in our programs in the past and who are now taking on leadership responsibilities.
