Troop Confirmation Fees
All troops spending a week at Camp Buckskin or Camp Waubeeka should have forwarded a $200 per week confirmation fee to the Council Service Center by March 1, 2013. Realizing that this reminder is being sent after March 1, please send in your payment as soon as possible if you have not done so. Payment of this fee confirms your troop's reservation at camp for this summer. The $200 is in addition to your original $50 per week site deposit.

Units must have made this payment to receive their username and new password for web based activities reservations (activities, advancement, etc.) as well as viewing your camp account online. Usernames and passwords will be sent via email to those units who have made their payment.

Summit Base Payment Due
For troops who have reserved a trek at Summit Base, a payment of $1,000 was due on March 1, 2013. This payment is non-refundable and will open the planning process for your trip. The first troops to make this payment will have their choice of trek before a troop that pays later. This does not guarantee your requested trip. The exceptions are kayak treks. If you reserved a kayak trek on your reservation form and have not heard otherwise, you can be sure you will be kayaking that week. The final balance for your trek fee is due May 1, 2013.

2014 Summit Base Trek Reservations
Reservations for 2014 treks by Westchester-Putnam Council units are now available. A $300 deposit is due with the reservation. Any cancellations made before July 1, 2013 will receive a full refund. The deposit is non-refundable after July 1, 2013.

Units from outside the Westchester-Putnam Council will be able to make reservations for the summer of 2014 beginning on April 1, 2014. After April 1, all reservations will be on a first come, first served basis.

Please make your Summit plans now to avoid being blocked out of this outstanding program. A reservation form is attached to this notice.

Activities Registration
All units may register for activities such as caving, rock climbing, the indoor wall, the zip line, Cope course and whitewater rafting at either of the Scoutmaster Orientation meetings. Beginning on April 1st, units who have paid their $200 per week confirmation fee may also reserve activities or modify their registrations through our web site, www.wpcbsa.org. Details for this process will be similar to last year, and will be reviewed at both Scoutmaster Orientation meetings and will be in the Troop Leaders' Guide.

Advancement Registration
Units will also again be able to register for merit badges and our rank advancement program through our web site. Once full payment is received for a Scout, he may be registered for advancement. This system will be available on April 1st. Details on its use will be available in the Troop Leaders' Guide and on our web site. A portion of the advancement registration process will again be setting up your unit roster including bus transportation reservations.
