 2019 Summit Base Program Fees

Summer High Adventure Trek Fees

Six-day trek (Includes up to 6 participants) $2,670.00
 Additional participants, each (group size limits apply) $445.00
 Six-day Kayak Trek$2,850.00 
 Additional kayak participants, each (group size limits apply)


Provisional Trek Application                                                                    $475.00 per participant 

There is an additional fee for transportation which is determined by the distance from Summit Base for the drop off and pick up for the trek selected.  In 2018, this fee is $0.55 per mile for the total miles necessary to transport the group.  (For Kayak Treks this fee is per vehicle used for transportation.) This mileage fee is noted in most of the sample treks listed in the trek section.  This mileage fee may be adjusted depending on fuel prices.

Adult leadership is available for $445 (this leadership is in addition to the trek guide).

Reservations may be made through the Summit Base Trek coordinators or the Westchester-Putnam Council Camping Department.  Contact us for availability.

Payment Schedule

        • A $300.00 non-refundable deposit (applied to final total fees) must accompany a Trek Reservation Form.
        • $1,000.00 payment is due March 1st - non-refundable
        • Balance due May 1st

Payments not received by these dates may subject reservations to cancellation.

 Brant Lake Canoeing $30.00 flat rate (12 Participants max)
 Overnight backpack meals - Pharaoh Wilderness Hike $7.00 per meal (8 participants max)

Summer High Adventure Refund Policy

The initial reservation deposit is non-refundable.  Groups canceling within 60 days of their summer trek or 2 weeks of their weekend trip will be penalized half of the remaining fees due.

If weather conditions prevent a safe weekend adventure, this can be rescheduled at no additional cost within the same calendar year.  Otherwise, refund policies above apply.

Payments should be sent to the Council Office with checks made payable to Westchester-Putnam Council, BSA.  Be sure to include a description of the payment noting the group / individual the payment is for.
