More details about the following activities are in the Beaver Tracks
and on the Ktemaque Lodge web site at www.ktemaque.org
New Members
In April, all elected youth for whom the Lodge has received election
results will have received a letter from Ktemaque Lodge informing them of
the induction opportunities available this year. Nominated adults who
have been approved by the selection committee will also have received a
letter from the lodge in April. Anyone not receiving their letter by May
1 to take their Ordeal should contact Clayton W., our Vice Chief of
Operations, or Alex Weiner, our Operations Adviser.
Please note that all 2008 candidates must take their Ordeal in 2008 or
they will need to be re-elected (adults will need to be re-nominated)
next year. Requests for 2007 waivers due to medical reasons, etc. should
have already been submitted to the Lodge Executive Committee for
approval.
If you have questions about your Ordeal, contact Kevin M., our Lodge
Chief, or Rob Carlson, our Lodge Adviser. If you have questions about your
Ordeal registration, contact Bob Fenty, our Membership Adviser.
Lodge Spring Service Weekend
All Arrowmen and Scouters are invited to join Ktemaque Lodge for a
weekend of service at the Curtis S. Read Scout Reservation in Brant Lake,
NY. This annual event will be May 16-18, 2008 and always coincides with
the induction of new members into the Order of the Arrow. The Brotherhood
Quest will also be offered.
Registration forms are on the Ktemaque Lodge website and in the Beaver
Tracks.
Adult Scouters interested in working on a specific project should
indicate on the registration form which project they prefer so teams can be
formed prior to arrival in camp.
Lodge Officer elections will be held for the positions of Lodge Chief,
Vice Chiefs of Program, Communications, Operations, and Service. These
elected youth members will provide the leadership for Ktemaque Lodge in
2008-2009. A description of the responsibilities is listed on the Ktemaque
Lodge web site. All brothers interested in running for office must be a
dues-paid member of Ktemaque Lodge and a registered member of the BSA under
the age of 21 for their entire term of office. Those interested in running
for an office should contact Lodge Adviser Rob Carlson prior to the Spring
Service Weekend.
Remember to mail your registration form, health form, and payment postmarked
by May 9. The forms are on the Ktemaque Lodge web site.
All brothers who want to help the candidates experience a quality Ordeal
by assisting as an Elangomat should contact Head Elangomat David M. in
advance. Training is available.

ArrowCorps5
During the summer of 2008, 5,000 Arrowmen from across the nation will embark
on the largest service project in the Order of the Arrow’s history —
ArrowCorps5. This is a once in a lifetime experience! This project is not
like any previous OA adventure. When we work on service projects at 5
national service sites, over 5 weeks, with more than 5,000 Arrowmen, we will
all participate in a higher adventure, culminating in a legacy of service at
national forests across the nation. Sites are located in California,
Missouri, Utah, Virginia, and Wyoming.
Youth over age 14 and adult members of the OA who meet the Philmont
Weight Limits for Backpacking and Hiking may participate.
The ArrowCorps5 fee is $250.00 per site for participants who pay their
fee by May 1, 2008. The fee includes eight days of program, 20 meals, safety
equipment, insurance coverage, recognition items, and a full day of
recreation. Fees paid after May 1, 2008 will be $300 per participant per
site. The cost of travel is not included in the site fee.
More details are on the Ktemaque Lodge web site.
To ask questions or sign up, contact Bob Fenty, our ArrowCorps5
Coordinator.
