Troop 24 Dobbs Ferry Scoutmaster Dalio - Honored by WPC BSA

In August 2015, Troop 24 of Dobbs Ferry honored Scoutmaster Dalio for his 50 years as a scout and scout leader.  More importantly, Edmund Dalio has been with Troop 24, continuously, for 50 years.  Troop 24 celebrated Edmund's 50th Anniversary with a barbecue.  Our district presented Edmund with a certificate of recognition.

On September 21, 2015, the Board of Directors for Westchester-Putnam Council, BSA, presented Scoutmaster Edmund Dalio, with a council plaque that recognized his contribution to scouting.  The following was written by Troop 24's committee leadership in recognition of Edmund Dalio's contribution.

"Dobbs Ferry Troop 24 was established in 1927Edmund first joined Troop 24 in 1965, when the Troop was 38 years old. Edmund went through the Boy Scout program as a member of Troop 24. When he turned 18, he stayed on with Troop 24 as an adult leader. In 1980, when the Troop was 53 years old, Edmund became Scoutmaster. This year (2015) Edmund has been with Troop  24 continuously for 50 years, which means he has been a member of the troop for more than half the time the troop has been in existence.

Since 1927 Troop 24 has had 18 Scoutmasters. Most served for two or three years. Two served for seven years. Edmund has been Scoutmaster for 35 years. "

There are no words that I can say to properly express my gratitude for Edmund Dalio's leadership and guidance.
