Eagle Scouts - Congratulations !!!!!

Thanks to all leaders and the scouting families our scouts and especially our Eagle Scouts are proving to everyone in the wider community what citizenship, service, and leadership truly mean.

The extraordinary Eagle Scouts listed above have demonstrated their Scouting values through their Eagle Projects.  Through service, we lead.  Our Eagle Scouts served their communities.  Our Eagle Scouts led by inspiring younger scouts to work towards the rank of Eagle Scout.

Scouting is more important today than ever before.  You may not see it but I do in my travels through the district.  Our scouts are having a positive impact in the community. Up and coming cub scouts are excited about scouting thanks to all of the hard work of our cub leaders and also seeing boy scouts in the community.  Our cub scout program is a critical part of the future of scouting and I expect to see our boy scout troops and cub scout packs to increase the level of interaction in the years ahead.

You may not know this but boy scouts who serve as den chiefs in packs are inspiring our cub scouts.  Our cub scouts want to be like our boy scouts.

My admiration for the leadership and service you have demonstrated to our scouts knows no bounds.  Without you there would be no scouting program, there would be no outreach into underserved communities, there would be no outreach to those with special needs, and there would be no hope for youth looking for a way out of nearly hopeless situations.  Your impact is that great.

I am looking forward to serving all of you in 2016.
