Message From The Council President John G. Callahan

Welcome to the all-new website of the Westchester-Putnam Council!

For those of you who have visited our old website, I am sure you will find this new website to be a significant improvement.  I invite you to take some time and give it a test drive. As you will see, it is not an upgrade of our old website, but is new from the ground up.  It is chock full of information about everything that is going on in the Council and in our districts. Our units can even have a page on it. The ability to register for events has been expanded and will be easier than ever before.

If you are not familiar with, or are new to, our Council or Scouting, look around the website and learn about us.  Explore the many excellent programs we offer.  Check out our camp properties, which are among the best in the Northeast.  What youth would not want to spend a week at the Curtis S. Read Scout Reservation, after viewing the camp video on the website?  We invite you to join us. The 2,500 volunteers and the professional staff of the Westchester-Putnam Council are committed to do our best in delivering the nation’s preeminent youth development program to the nine thousand youth we serve.

I extend my personal thanks to the many individuals who made this new website a reality. In particular, I thank Donna Ragusa for leading the effort, and Tom Chlupsa, Steve Hammonds and Brian Landi for all their hard work on this project.

I hope to see you along the trail!
