The Engineering EXPO is a venue where middle and high school Students can go to meet with people from Engineering & Science Colleges and Universities, as well as Engineering firms, Government Agencies, Technical Societies and Businesses working in Engineering, Technology and the Sciences. Cubs and Boy Scouts Head to the Slopes at Thunder Ridge! Recently Added Content

Cub Scouts Earn the Snow Ski and Board Sports Belt Loop or Sports Pin for either Downhill Skiing or Snowboarding. Boy Scouts earn the Snow Sports Merit Badge for either Downhill Skiing or Snowboarding. Your day will include a 75-minute ski or snowboard lesson, rental equipment (if needed), and lift ticket for the day. Bring a bag lunch or purchase your meal in our cafeteria. Dress warmly!

Got Skis?

The fun at the Curtis S. Read Scout Reservation continues throughout the winter. A group or individuals may reserve any of the ten weekends from January through March for exciting winter adventure.

Get On Trek!

Live Your Own Adventure-Get On Trek The Summit Base trek program provides different opportunities coinciding with the seasons. During the summer season six and twelve day trips are offered with weekend trips during the fall, winter and spring.

Program Refund Policy of the Westchester-Putnam Council

The Westchester-Putnam Council provides Council programs, High Adventure Camps and other Camping Experiences to the Scouts and Leaders in its area. We must send deposits, buy supplies and produce mailings to support these events. Fees are usually paid in advance of the event and to ensure the Council can provide the best service to the scouts the following refund policies will apply.
